Allison Ferrell won the Aquinas Medal, the highest award a student can receive from the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston. Bishop Bransfield presented the award to Allison who was selected on the basis of her activities at school and in the community, which reflect the ideals of Catholic education epitomized by St. Thomas Aquinas, the Catholic patron saint of students.

 OVAC "A" CHAMPIONS 2009
Congratulations to the Boys Basketball team who won the OVAC "A" Championship game on 2/21/09. The boys beat Bridgeport at OUE to earn B.D.H.S. their first OVAC boys basketball title since 1989. |

Congratualations to Sophomore Bobby Richmond who was named the Wrestling Warrior of the Week by the News-Register on February 8. Bobby finished 2nd in the Regional Tournament and will wrestle in the State Tournament.
